Adam Vincent

I’m a stand up comic, writer, husband and father of two children who aren’t yet old enough to think I’m a dickhead. I reckon I’ve got five years.

I'm from Australia but now live in the UK.

We'll kick off with my writing work as I’m part of a team that recently won an award and this bio wants an impressive start. Channel 4 scored a Bafta for their coverage of the 2012 Paralympics. I’m a core writer for The Last Leg which was part of that coverage. The Last Leg was also nominated for best comedy entertainment program at the British Comedy Awards. Other writing credits include Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer, 15 to 1 and Live at The Apollo.

I love stand up, take it seriously and write & perform it all the time around the UK, Europe and Australia My hour long stand up shows include Humans Anonymous (2008), Adamland (2009), Vital Signs (2010) and Dad Feet (2011). Vital Signs went to Edinburgh in 2010 where it received critical acclaim. I’m currently writing material for a new solo show set for release in 2014.

Other highlights include being a national finalist in the Triple J Raw comedy competition. I came third in Green Faces, another national competition but this time for semi professional comics. Whatever that means. I entered the Australian heat for NBC's Last Comic Standing and was one of three comics chosen to go to America. I flew to LA, sat on the stage, they called me crazy and then I flew home. That's the story so far but this bio is a work in progress. If it wasn't it would be an obituary, where you might wonder if I'd wasted my life.
