Sean McLoughlin

Hello Pilgrim. I’m Sean McLoughlin, and I am a 27 year-old comedian from Brighton. I have performed at gigs of all sizes right across the U.K. and internationally, from the big weekend clubs to the smaller independents, universities and crack dens.

In the last year I have performed at the Cat Laughs Festival in Kilkenny, The Vodafone Comedy Festival in Dublin, performed shows in Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland. I’ve also supported the super-brilliant Doc Brown and Katherine Ryan on tour, and made an appearance on Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central on Comedy Central.

I’ve played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for many years, and performed my debut hour-long show ‘Backbone’ there in 2013 and the follow-up ‘I Will Prevail’ in 2014. I am performing my 2015 Fringe show ‘Whatever It Takes’ at the Pleasance Courtyard (Details/tickets here)

There’s been more stuff but I can’t remember it all now, so here’s some of the press I’ve accumulated over the last few years:

Edinburgh Fringe 2014 – I Will Prevail:

✭✭✭✭ "At one hilarious and painfully revelatory” Chortle

✭✭✭✭ "It’s a tour-de-force of a performance. One-line gag merchants would struggle to match his laugh count.” Gigglebeats

"What a genuinely fresh and powerful voice…it is wonderful” The Scotsman

"On the cusp of far greater recognition on the back of a strong comic voice very competently delivered.” The List

Nominated by fellow comedians for the UK Barry Award for ‘Best Performer’
