Mo Omar

Somali-born, Cardiff-raised and London-based, Mo Omar is a fast-rising talent with a unique perspective. Mo was selected to perform in The Pleasance Comedy Reserve show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was a finalist of the BBC Introducing Radio 4 Comedy Award, both in 2019. He then made his TV debut on Harry Hill’s Clubnite on Channel 4.

Previously, he was the winner of the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2017 competition, and semi-finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny and Amused Moose 2017 competitions. He created short-form videos for the new BBC Wales platform BBC Sesh, and also starred in an episode of The Joy of Missing Out for All4.

‘Omar has a winningly irreverent attitude to sacred cows, with a fresh and feisty delivery that gives him a contemporary edge’
