than the price of one before they go up to the Edinburgh Festival. We aim to recreate the true Edinburgh
experience – no audience, no pay for the acts, great fun! We have an enviable record in predicting the
big-hit shows before they win awards
Phil Nichol: Your Wronger
Phil’s 2017 show Your
Wrong explored his big brother Andrew’s severe car accident,
resulting coma and the Nichol family’s faith, pain, love, and the reality of
the limits in medical science. Your Wronger picks up the story where Your
Wrong left off continuing the personal and hilariously compelling
anecdotal style that Phil has become renowned for. You’ll laugh, gasp, cry and
think as Phil takes you and your beliefs to the cosmic cleaners.
If you enjoyed last year’s
show then expect more of the same. Fast, fierce and furious joy. If you didn’t
enjoy last year’s show, your wrong.
Phil Nichol is an Edinburgh
Comedy Award winner, Stage Best Performance winner, 6 times Chortle Best Club
Comic nominee and a great dancer. He can presently be seen at the Apollo
Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue as retired drag queen Hugo in smash hit musical
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
What the Critics said about
Your Wrong:
"…a show that makes you
laugh and think while you are watching, and then wakes you up in the night to
laugh and think again.” ***** The Scotsman
"… not just comedy but
soul-quenching storytelling at its finest.” EdFestMag *****
"Masterful” The Herald
****
Alistair Barrie
Fresh from a
critically acclaimed run at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Comedy
Store, BBC Breaking the News and King's Head regular Alistair Barrie brings his
new show to Crouch End. 'The InternationAL' is a futile attempt to resolve all
the world's problems in the space of 55 minutes through the medium of laughter.
Which is surely the only reasonable response to men who want you to watch them
shower, Brexit, Trump and Putin.
'His show is a
delight' **** - The Daily Review
'Really funny stuff' - The Herald Sun
'No one does righteous indignation with the same brio as Barrie' - The Guardian
